Loving Care Group Deputy Leader: House-Blessing and Study Group Gathering

On 29/2/2014, BLIAV North-West Branch held a house-blessing and study group gathering at Mrs Ling Tong’s home.  Ven.Jue Chu, superintendent for FoGuang Shan Melbourneattended with a group of over ten committee and general members.

The piece ‘Beginning from Self’, from Ven. Master Hsing Yun’s ‘Everlasting Light’ was the material chosen for the study group discussion, whereby members shared their experiences on how Buddhism has changed their lives.  Ven.Jue Chu discussed how even though someone may experience significant trauma and hardship in their lives; one is to remember that it represents only a challenge in life.  No matter how difficult the situation is, we must be aware of our body, speech and mind - do good deeds, say kind words andpossess good intentions.  We are to radiate kindness to all.  It is then that we can create an honest, kind and serene atmosphere;alleviatingsuffering and disasters, as well as improving our own quality of life.

The study session was followed by the house blessing ceremony.  The delightful evening wrapped up amongst joy and laughter.
